Nitty-Gritty of Gun Control

Alright, let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of gun control, in addition too, the gun’s role in past and present shootings. A ridiculous rumor is circulating around America; it’s said, the gun is to blame for the deaths of men, women and children. If indeed you are one of these loose-lip finger-pointers, here are some other theories to consider:
A firearm is only a lethal weapon when a human hand picks it up, loads it, aims it, and fires! (Lay a gun on the table; don’t touch it, then let me know when it alone kills someone) Guns don’t kill people, people kill people! This will not change by implementing stricter gun laws. If a person wants to kill another human, they will do it regardless of the means to the end. Shall we ban rope, knives, cars, pillows and swords? A killer can use a rope to strangle a victim, or a knife to stab, a car to run over, a pillow to suffocate, or a sword to behead and dismember. What’s more, the internet now has sites which provide step-by-step bomb making! Shall we ban the internet?
Why does an individual pick up a weapon with intentions of killing another? Well, many theories exist; each of them right, signally and collectively. First and foremost, it takes a mentally detached person to contemplate murdering another human –let alone actually doing it. So, how do these killers reach the point of murder? A hopelessness and helplessness which has no point of return?
Perhaps the killer was abused or molested as a child, and the havoc it played on their psyche was more than they could take. Or, maybe mass media warped their mind with violent programming; the glorifying of death and tragedy. Just maybe, it was the continuous playing of violent video games which make death seem ‘undoable’ ~something which can be undone with the push of a reset button. Could it be they were bullied until broken, with little to no resolve? Or, just maybe, a different political view threatened the very values of the deranged mind which believed killing a Congress Person is their Civic Duty; the only way to ‘save’ their Country!
Regardless, whether it be one, or a collective of reasons, the dead are dead –period! Some believe banning assault rifles is the answer; or banning guns all together. In Connecticut, where the Sandy Hook mass shooting took place, assault rifles are illegal. Yet, some crazed nut-job commandeered one and shot over 20. Therefore, said argument has no validity.
Strict gun laws are active on the federal and state levels: 3-day waiting period; background checks; photo ID requirements; felons need not apply, etc. Has this stopped or slowed the gun violence in America? Hell no! Gun laws only control the lawful. Criminals will, and have always found guns for trade or purchase. Hell, America’s own Department of Justice’s Eric Holder is giving them out to drug cartel and Mexican Mafia thugs! Now, they want to take ours?
Many others believe mental health services are to blame for the rise in murder rates. Most of America’s insane asylums have long been shut down. The mentally ill being cared for in jail or prison, only after being arrested. The care they receive is minimal at best. Counseling Centers are over-run with patients, but short on employees. Medicaid and Medicare, not paying for most services. VA Centers forced to cut back because of $600 billion in cuts; leaving PTSD Veterans out in the cold. Psychotherapy medicines prescribed on a massive scale –side effects unknown to each individual patient. Seem like a catch 22? It is!
“Ban all violent video games!” scream others. World of Warfare, Second Life (which allows a player to create a character of their choice…allowing for murder, prostitution, rape, and even child molestation), War Games, etc. These games breathe imagination into a young mind. Giving the impression death is not permanent, that shooting someone has no consequence –except for a lost game. Additionally, violent games give the gamer the confidence they’re indestructible –untouchable to the ‘force’ with which they battle. This especially holds true for the mentally ill gamer. Shall we silence the 1st Amendment Right? Americans would not stand for such Tyranny!
Question is: Will Americans stand by and allow their Government to water down the 2nd Amendment? I don’t believe so. Americans were given this Right for a reason; to protect family, self, property, and country. If it is taken from the American people, who will defend them? Who will be standing there to fend off a predator which has a weapon and murder in their eyes? Self-defense will hold a whole new meaning! No! We the People will not stand by while our families, friends, properties, and country are left defenseless! What’s more, no Executive Order will sway said stand.

Once again, Americans are debating Gun Control; and, once again, the opposing argument lacks logic. Each time some nut-job goes on a killing spree, socialists push for abolishing the Second Amendment ~and, frankly, it’s pissing this American off! Nothing is more frustrating than debating with a person who has not thought out the theory of their position. This American has pondered and analyzed the misguided, ignorant theory of Gun Control ~the following is how I see it:
First, the Constitution was enacted to protect America and her citizens; each dilution of the Amendments will prove cause and effect on the People’s Rights. The Right to Bear Arms was given to protect self, family, business, and country. Who will protect the individual from the Evils of society if not themselves; the Government? Hell, they won’t protect our Borders, which would provide protection for America ; how can I entertain they give a damn about me, the invisible individual? Dependency on Government is a fool’s bet!
Secondly, Gun Control only controls the lawful ~not the lawless! Socialists and Marxists will never have the power to prevent killers and low-lives from obtaining guns. If anything, they will only empower the lawless, and turn decent citizens into criminals. What is more, it’s hard to control guns when those whose job it is to enforce Gun Control (i.e. Justice Department) are literally handing guns to Drug Cartels! Proof, “Dumb and Ridiculous” theories have deadly consequences.
Thirdly, previous amendments to Gun Rights have proven ineffective in eradicating violence. If indeed these amendments worked (i.e. background checks, three day waiting periods, limiting ammunition sales), the recent mass shootings in Colorado and Wisconsin could not have happened. The fact is, gun control is impossible to enforce. There will always be Black Markets where criminals can purchase or barter for firearms. What are needed are, stronger deterrents and sentences for those who commit violent acts upon another; not punishment upon the lawful for the actions of the lawless.
Additionally, knives, bows and arrows, automobiles, alcohol, sports, some foods, and a plethora of other things kill people; shall we ban those items as well? Should we make the Big Mac illegal because it can cause heart disease? Do we make it illegal to drive an automobile because some drive irresponsibly? Of course not! What we do is punish those who abuse their rights and privileges. Guns are no different people! Guns don’t kill people, people kill people ~you can’t control that!
In conclusion, Gun Control is an egotistical attempt from the left to falsely pacify the fears of the ignorant and simple-minded. Another feeble effort from the current Administration to brainwash constituents into a false sense of security, and dependency on government! The day Obama stations the Secret Service in front of my property, is the very day I will consider relinquishing my firearm! Until then, security to this American is: knowing if a robber, rapist, or murder breaks in my home, I have a 44-mag to welcome them!

When Democrats find I’m a Conservative, the rhetorical question is: “So, you’re a bigot, hu?” Unfortunately, there is a common misconception all Conservatives are gay-bashing, KKK “Tea-baggers” whose goal is to shove their religion down everyone’s throat. Admittedly, there are some on the right who resemble said statement; however, there are those of us whom do not. The following is an effort to clear-up where it is I stand on homosexuality and gay marriage.
First, let’s establish one thing: I do not take “Chick-Fil-A’s” position on gay marriage. A true Christian, who does not believe in homosexuality, realizes all God’s children were put on Earth to make choices ~and, answer accordingly! The fall out between God and the Devil is said to have occurred over a similar incident. The Devil thought it best humans be programed to obey Lord and Law. However, the Lord wanted humans to have free choice; he wanted to know the loyalty and love was due to choice, not force ~the rest is history. If it wasn’t proper to regulate choice then, what makes it proper now?
Personally, I believe it’s cogently evident, if humans were meant to have sex with the same gender; we would have been born with the same reproductive characteristics. I don’t believe however, it’s my place to judge or mandate others whom do not believe the same. I’m educated enough to realize, what I desire sexually, may not be what another desires. Therefore, what God given right do I have, which would entitle me to force my desires or moral choices upon another? None has such a right!
Why does it matter who a person loves? Shouldn’t it only matter that they love? After all, homosexuals are not mandating all mankind marry or love someone of the same sex; they just want acceptance for ones who choose to. Society is full of rapists, robbers, thieves, cheats, murders and liars; if someone wants to love, damn it, let them love! “Judge thee unless thee be judged!” It is no one’s business! Those who believe it is their business, needs an Ethics lesson.
Aware this piece will offend Republicans and Democrats alike, I add this:
Quit trying to divide and concur! We are all occupants of the earth, we each have our own values; moral choices to make; are all different in some way; all are sinners; and finally, not one of us are better than the other ~regardless of race, sexual orientation, religion, or financial status. Elephant or Ass, minus worldly possessions, we are equal!
United we stand ~divided we fall!
Voter ID Laws: Logical

Let me be candid for a moment. Not as a Republican or Democrat, but instead as a logical American. Lately there has been a lot of bitchin’ about Voter ID laws, and frankly I am tired of hearing the constant whining. In America, ID is required to purchase beer and cigarettes; to cash a check or sign-up for entitlements; to enter a bar or drive an automobile; what’s more, emergency rooms and physicians require identification to be treated. These requirements are necessary to prevent fraud, underage sales of tobacco and alcohol, and detour identity theft. Why is it so terrible to require an ID to vote? It protects the election process from fraud.
Naysayers assert Voter ID laws are set up to discriminate against the low-income, disabled, and minorities. I say balderdash! All three (low-income, disabled, and minorities) must show ID to drive, cash checks, buy beer and cigarettes, and sign-up for food stamps and Medicaid; therefore, there is no logic to such an argument. Yet, this is the precise skewed argument the Department of Justice and left is spewing.
Thirty-one states now require proof of ID before allowing constituents to cast a vote: strict photo ID states include Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. Photo ID states include, Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, and South Dakota -16 others have non-photo ID laws. Some Democratic governed states vetoed similar laws.
Democrats claim the Republican push for tougher Voter ID laws is politically motivated. And, I am certain that’s true. However, Democrats have the same agenda –political gain. It is in America’s best interest to have strict Voter ID laws; it will prevent fraud and preserve the election process. If memory serves correctly, in 2008 ACORN committed election fraud in Obama’s favor –in 2004 the Bush election was tainted by Florida’s “hanging chads”, where Jeb Bush (George Bush’s brother) held an elected office. Personally, I believe tough Voter ID laws protect our voting right, not encroach it.
Impeach Eric Holder!

Impeachment sound a little harsh? Then you are a coddler! Coddling those who display egregious behavior only reinforces said behavior. If we continue to put up with inappropriate behavior from government officials, such as Eric Holder’s, then that is precisely what we will get. Since 2009, the Department of Justice has used tax dollars to fund a “Dumb and Ridiculous” gun-running operation known as “Fast and Furious”, which has put dangerous weapons in the hands of drug cartels. And, now that thousands of guns are MIA and one Border agent is dead, Holder’s resignation is being demanded by many Republicans.
First and foremost, Eric Holder is not stupid by any sense of the word; diabolical yes, amoral yes –stupid, no. One excuse Holder gives for not turning over important documents to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is; an investigation is in progress that forbids him to do so. Well, Holder initiated said investigation (as he stated many times) quickly after the operation’s blunder hit the media. It is believed Holder knew initiating such an investigation would keep certain incriminating evidence from Congress, therefore delaying the process. Sound like the strategy of an inept ignorant man, or a cunning, slick shyster? Holder did not reach his position in the DOJ because of a life-time of inept performance; therefore, claiming ignorance cannot be an option.
Secondly, Eric Holder claims he doesn’t remember exactly when he was made aware of “Fast and Furious”. Sure bet he didn’t eat any of those $16 dollar muffins either (sarcasm). Let’s remind him: Mr. Holder, remember the Mexico press conference in 2009 where you more or less bragged about DOJ’s Operation “Fast and Furious”? Furthermore, do you think “We the People” believe for one second you knew absolutely nothing of the operations within the Department of Justice sir? Since you obviously cannot handle said job sir –you must go; willingly or not! Americans deserve better from their employees, and you sir are criminal in the eyes of this American!
What is more outrageous is, Eric Holder could not even grasp a little common decency and call the family of slain Border Agent Brian Terry. No “I’m sorry for your loss” or nothing –guess Holder’s “give a damn is busted”. Could it be the guilt? Or, is it his arrogance?
“Under “Fast and Furious” ATF agents recorded and tracked straw purchases of weapons and allowed the guns to “walk” across the U.S. border into Mexico in an effort to locate major weapons traffickers, rather than catching the low-level buyers. The operation took a tragic toll when two weapons where Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was murdered were linked to the ATF program” (Kinzel, 2011).
There is no doubt the DOJ has the blood of Brian Terry on its hands; however, it isn’t likely any one will step up and accept responsibility for the inapt operation that caused the DOJ’s fall from Grace. Holder has recently said more firearms from Operation “Fast and Furious” will certainly show up at future crime scenes in both Mexico and America.
Holder admitted, “Although the department has taken steps to ensure that such tactics are never used again, it is an unfortunate reality that we will continue to feel the effects of this flawed operation for years to come”…“Guns lost during this operation will continue to show up at crime scenes on both sides of the border.”
The one thing Holder won’t admit, as the Attorney General he is ultimately responsible for the operations of the DOJ; good, bad, or indifferent, the buck stops with Holder. That said it is time for Eric Holder to take responsibility and resign –or be impeached. America no longer has faith in the ability of the Department of Justice or its leadership, and this will not change until Holder and a few high-ranking officials are fired. What happened to “Justice for all”? Where is the justice for the family of Agent Brian Terry? The firing and/or impeachment of Eric Holder, Lanny Breuer, and any entity who knowingly participated in “Fast and Furious” would be a start. This American votes Impeachment!

Two-Party “Super” Con

If you believed for one minute the “Super Committee” would succeed in compromising and acting in the best interest of “We the People”, then you’re an idiot! That’s right –an idiot! The Special Joint Committee, composed of six Democrats and six Republicans was set-up to fail from jump-start. The failure of the committee benefits both parties politically by letting each side save “face” with their parties and constituents; what’s more, it gives both sides ammunition for the up-coming 2012 election. After news of the committee’s failure hit the media, it took all of five minutes for Democrats and Republicans to start the proverbial finger-pointing.
Early this week, “… co-chairs of the bipartisan special joint committee said in a statement that “after months of hard work and intense deliberations, we have come to the conclusion today that it will not be possible to make any bipartisan agreement available to the public before the committee’s deadline” (Ted Barrett, Kate Bolduan and Deirdre Walsh, CNN, 2011.p1.para.4).
Hard work –are they kidding? Sending e-mail back and forth holding your breath via emoticons is not working hard! Furthermore, there is not a bipartisan bone in the committee’s body. All took a stand before taking the job –Republicans demand entitlement and tax reform, while Democrats demand military cuts and higher taxes for the rich.
The “breaking” news was not surprising to most Americans. Now, if the committee would have succeeded, that would have been a surprise. Whether on the side of Democrats, Republicans, or Liberals, “The People” invested little faith in this two-party “super” con. Why would they? Congress had already caused America’s credit downgrade by acting like unreasonable children, with a “do it my way” or “hit the highway” attitude.
Van Hollen, a Democrat from Maryland and Pelosi pet, had this to say about the committee’s failure: “Many will portray this failure as the inevitable consequence of two partisan sides refusing to give ground…suggesting blame should lie with Republicans” (FoxNews.com, 2011.para.19). Partisan? That’s not the word we are using Mr. Van Hollen!
Thoroughly disgusted with the committee’s failure, Republican Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee ranted to the press: “On its current course the federal government is projected to spend almost $44 trillion over the next 10 years, and it is nothing short of an embarrassment, an absolute national disgrace and failure of leadership that we cannot agree on even a paltry $1.2 trillion in deficit reduction over that time frame” (Ted Barrett, Kate Bolduan and Deirdre Walsh, CNN, 2011p.2.para.2). Lack of leadership and embarrassing is an understatement Mr. Corker! The committee’s failure is a threat to America’s national security by cutting $600 billion from the Department of Defense.
If $600 billion is cut from defense, the first department to suffer will be Veteran services; what’s more, soldiers on the front line will NOT be properly equipped to protect themselves and this country. Fathom this: soldiers without life-saving helmets; short supplies of ammunition; production of War Ships and Army tanks halted; massive drops in recruitment; Heroes blowing their brains out because they received inapt mental health services for PTSD; a growth in homeless veterans; and finally, World War 3 breaks out and America has no money or troops to defend ourselves. Not pretty –is it? Solution: cut $1.2 trillion from our ever-growing, inapt, meddling government, and quit giving aid to China! Leave the Military alone! Remember 9/11 Jackasses?
However, not all in Congress are complete idiots (though trace amounts are present).
“Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., issued a statement about the mandatory cuts to defense, calling the sequester of $600 billion in defense spending a “threat to the national security interests of the United States and cannot be allowed to occur” (FoxNews.com, 2011.para.8).
A former prisoner of war, McCain has a special understanding about how the $600 billion cut to defense will affect military missions and rescues, and just how important proper training and equipment are to a soldier. The United States Military should be funded in front of any other program or department –government or social. We are living in times of 9/11, Nukes, and Martyr extremists –do we really want to be caught unprepared? Do we want our soldiers (someone’s child) going into a gunfight armed only with a knife?
President Obama, who has been absent during the committee’s effort for compromise, is the con of all cons; he put in place a political strategy via automatically triggered $1.2 trillion in tax hikes and military cuts –while limiting cuts on entitlements. Obama knew this committee would not succeed –the battle over the debt ceiling, entitlement reform, tax reform, and Obama Care proved no bipartisanship exists in Congress.
“President Obama said he would veto any effort by lawmakers to repeal a requirement for $1 trillion in automatic spending cuts to be triggered after the Super Committee failed to agree on terms to save the country $1.2 trillion over a 10-year span” (FoxNews.com, 2011.para.1).
“If we don’t act, taxes will go up for every single American, starting next year. And I’m not about to let that happen,” Obama said Monday” (Sam Rolley, 2011.para.4).
Now that’s rich! Obama doesn’t want taxes to go up? Oh, that’s right –he only wants the “rich” to pay “their fair share”. The problem with this concept is, rich is a matter of perception; a poor man’s rich is different from that of a wealthy man’s rich. Additionally, one that smells of money may very well have rubbed on advertisement cologne. A person with an annual income of $1 million for example, might have $990,000 or more in bills and taxes, leaving less than $10,000 a year to live on –that’s not rich; that’s a “rich man’s poor”. Who defines rich? When it comes to taxes –the President and acting Congress, that’s who! Given the judgment used in spending tax money thus far, can Americans trust Washington?
This “Super” con was nothing more than a drain on taxpayer dollars and a waste of time –which is par for the course in the current administration. With the American economy in extreme peril and a plethora of people out of work, Americans are fed up with both sides –Americans need effective leadership! A people without proper leadership will wonder aimlessly to their certain destruction.

Occupy This!

Over the last two months, “Occupy Wall Street” protesters in every state have wreaked havoc on city streets and community businesses in efforts their voices will be heard. Their plight is however, once a communicator becomes aggressive in tone and action, the receiver stops listening. Additionally, knowing who the enemy is, and what address they live at is essential to war as well. The enemy lives in Washington D.C on Pennsylvania Ave, not at the homes and businesses of occupier’s neighbors. The House, the Senate, the President, and their charges are responsible for regulations, bills, bailouts, financial deprivation, laws, debt, economy, wealth distribution, and environmental and social issues; therefore, why are the tents not perched up on their property?
Violence and defiance have resulted in hundreds of “Occupy” protesters being arrested in New York, Nashville, Detroit, Oakland, Portland, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, and Seattle -nearly every city in America. Hypodermic needles have been found at encampments, what’s more, rapes, deaths, vandalism, and drugs have been center focus of a “cause” that has no doubt had a negative effect. Polls recently show those who were listening, are now turning a deaf ear to a “cause” that lacks “focus and direction”. What was once considered a “civil rights movement” is now viewed as a “poor people’s campaign” controlled by left-wing nut-jobs that just want a handout. Obviously no one has told the occupiers, corporate America pays for those handouts; therefore, shutting them down will be, if accomplished, at their own peril.
This Left-wing effort to separate and pit one class of people against another (class warfare) is just an attempt at deterrence from the real issues. If the Democratic Party spent as much time fixing things as they did whining about them, things might actually get done in America. If “Occupy Wall Street” protesters want to voice a cause, let them speak out about why the DOJ (Department of Justice) is allowed to spend OUR tax dollars on $16 muffins; or why the current administration gave over $535 million to Solyndra after being “warned” against it; and, why is Eric Holder not being fired for the egregious behavior of an inapt ATF; and, why OUR military vets fear cuts to programs they would not require if they had not defended this great country; why American Borders are not being protected; and, why, if the left detests Corporate America, did the current Democratic administration bailout said corporations, what’s more, why is America now over $15 trillion in debt with a historic down-grade in our credit rating?
The logic of “Occupy Wall Street” is that of left-wing simpletons, socialists, and Marxists who are misguided –pissed someone who worked hard to build a company won’t give them a “handout”. Well, in America if a person wants money –they work for it. Let’s ask “Occupy Wall Street” protesters to distribute their wealth –oh, that’s right, they don’t have any! This uprising is a direct result of an administration brainwashing constituents into believing something-for-nothing is the American way –hail to Socialism! Inside information has it however, “A handout only enables, a hand-up empowers” –reinforcing productivity and self-worth.
America Tired of Left-Wing Lynching of Cain

At last night’s GOP debate in Michigan, audience members booed moderators in support of Herman Cain and in disgust with the left-wing lynching of his character. With rope in hand, moderators that aimed questions toward Mitt Romney about Cain’s personal plight were met with opposition from nearly every member of the audience, leaving the left standing at the political gallows in shock from the mutiny. It is obvious that Americans are fed-up with the demonizing dirty politics of the Democratic Party and left-wing sympathizers. It’s about time the American people stood up and refused to listen to skewed rhetoric spewed from the lips of Washington gossips and unethical media that would sell-out their own grandma for ratings.
Politico placed a noose around Cain’s neck in late October via unsubstantiated sexual harassment charges from the 1990’s. Since then women have emerged from the woodwork like hungry roaches looking for their next meal. Minutes after Politico broke the story, a posse of Democrats and left-wing media rode in to help hang Cain from their proverbial political tree. And, it seems they have recruited Dem-donor-in-a-dress Gloria Allred to ride front and center with a damsel in distress to secure Cain’s conviction. The problem with this is the dim-witted Dem-donor retains zero credibility with the American people due to her own past actions. Furthermore, Americans are asking: Who is footing the bill for her services, because her client is unemployed and bankrupt?
Additionally, the credibility of at least two of Cain’s accusers is being called into question. Bialek, the accuser hanging off the teat of Allred, has filed for bankruptcy at least twice, is unemployed and never filed formal charges. Similarly, Karen Kraushaar had filed sexual harassment charges at another job, accusing a man of circulating a sexually based e-mail and refusing to submit to her request to work from home. Cain has denied all charges, calling Bialek “troubled” with “financial problems”, adding he would gladly take a lie detector test. However, if last night’s GOP debate is any indication of the people’s confidence in his innocence, there is no need for Cain to trouble himself.
As a voter, unless the left provides substantial proof that Cain is a cad, I will assume Democrats and left-wing media are trying to divert my focus from the current administration’s lack of leadership and spending addiction –a slide of hand if you will. They underestimate my intelligence; no matter their deceptive ploy, I will remember the lying, race-baiting, bullying, inciting, over-regulating, down-graded credit, bailouts, Solyndra, ATF’s egregious behavior, barbaric rhetoric, record high unemployment rate, health mandates, lack of border control, class warfare, and the overall disregard for the people of America –and on election day I will hold the Democratic administration responsible. I am not saying my vote will go to Cain, but I am saying that I will vote for a Billy-goat before I vote to re-elect Obama in 2012.
Cain Blames Perry Campaign for Blowing Whistle: American Voter Goes Mad

In a recent change of events, fingers that pointed at Obama sympathizers for the recent Cain scandal turned toward a member of Cain’s own Republican Party –Rick Perry. Accusations against Cain in 1996 for sexual harassment were first reported by left-wing Obama sympathizer Politico last week, which quickly spread like wildfire reaching nearly every news channel in the Nation. Cain is accusing a former staff member, which now resides at the Perry compound, of leaking the information. It is not enough that Democrats and Republicans display egregious behavior toward one another, now Republican Brothers are sabotaging each other –pushing this American voter to the brink of madness.
If these political children are going to behave like juvenile delinquents, they will be viewed accordingly; furthermore, if mass media continues to reinforce this type of inappropriate behavior these sleazy strategies will persist. The regard that once existed for the Democratic process is quickly diminishing with every sleazy, slimy, unethically skewed campaign trick. What happened to civility? If Congress, Presidential candidates, or their staff don’t have any regard or respect for themselves or each other, how am I supposed to fathom they would have the slight bit for me? The narcissistic personality disorders that have commandeered our elected officials prove that an intervention is in order. Am I the only one who realizes that “We the People” are paying to endure these sleazy displays and that “We the People” are the only ones that can put an end to it? Or, am I the only one fed up with the ridiculous, underhanded, barbaric tactics by politicians?
This voter has grown weary of the government body that inhabits Washington D.C and its branches of charges, and I believe it is time to intervene. Abraham Lincoln conveyed this to Americans long ago,
“This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their Constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember it or overthrow it.”
This means taking a stand against an organization of brainwashing bullies that have brought this country to the brink of unthinkable disaster –depicting our ‘super-power’ as a ‘super-circus’ filled with weakness and destructive ideals and values. I take my civic obligation seriously, and that obligation prevents me from voting for the lesser ‘evil’ simply for a false sense of patriotism –which means, this year I may invoke my right not to vote. I will NOT support any candidate that behaves in such a low-down sleazy manner. The “right” to vote has become a catch 22 without a solution in sight; because candidates and Congress have their head so far up their own agenda they cannot hear the voice of the people.
Will the fact that I do not vote matter in the totality of the American political plight? Probably not; however, it will release me from being part of the problem and empower the solution. I refuse to contribute to the downfall of my country and fellow Americans. Additionally, instead of showing up at the voting booth to sign a ballot, I may show up with a picket sign stating, “When you listen to me, I will vote for you!” Because, the way it stands at this moment, I will put a flame to my ballot before I put a pen to it. My obligation is to do what is in the best interest of all Americans –not to an inapt government body. Am I angry? Damn right –I am mad as hell, and I am personally not going to take any more of the egregious conduct of my employees –yes, that’s right, elected officials and the President of the United States are my employees as they are yours. And, their lack of work ethics warrants dismissal. How will you show your authority? How will you prove you are the boss? Let us prove it by showing them the way to the unemployment line –you know, the one many Americans have stood in for way to long. And, remember –together we win, divided we fall.
